For the first time in the world, more than 350 pieces of significant World War 1 artefacts from the collections of London’s Imperial War Museums will be shipped to Melbourne Museum this April. The exhibition will enable people to experience story of the World War 1 in a totally new and innovative way. There will be rare artwork, films, sounds, and images. This exhilarating, multi-sensory story will take you down the journey of the War and you will travel with the soldier’s back in time through art and other materials and see how the war was fought on a large scale. Melbourne International Comedy Festival

Alongside Edinburg Festival fringe and Montreal’s Just for Laughs Festival, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival is one the largest comedy festival in the world. This year, it will be celebrating its 29th year and will take over Australia’s comedy capital, Melbourne, in April. There will different forms of comedy for example stand-up comedy, visual arts, radio, Television, film, street performance, cabaret and, theatre. The show will be running between March 25 and 19th April 2015. Come tickle your funny bone!

Rebels vs. Reds

The year 2015 seems to be a promising year for the Melbourne Rebels rugby team and super Rugby will be celebrating its 20th anniversary. The Rebels club is promising to make its fans proud in its 5th year in the Super Rugby competition. Almost half of their fifteen games will be played at AAMI Park, which provides a great viewing experience. The Black Keys’ Turn Blue World Tour Event

If you are a Black Keys fan, the band will be performing at the newly renovated Margaret Court Arena as part of their Turn Blue Album World Tour. The band is making the tour in honour of their Turn Blue album success. The album debut at number one on Billboard 200 and ARIA charts. The album is also their best performing album so far internationally and it debuted in top 5 and top 10 charts worldwide.

Shifting Gears: Australian Car Exhibition

The National Gallery of Victoria will be hosting, for the first time, the Shifting Gears car exhibition. This will be a celebration of Australian cars as both artwork and excellent design works. The event will be highlighting the history of car designs and engineering from the first horse carriage to more sophisticated modern designs. This is an all-year event so you can slot it in your schedule for any day of your visit.

Rye Kids Festival 2015

During the long Easter weekend, Friday 3rd April 2015 to Monday 6th April from noon, you can take your kids to have fun at the Rye Kids Festival 2015 brought to you by the Writingslow Amusements. The four-day event will be held at the Rye Foreshore. The event, even though meant for kids, is suitable for people of all ages and is free of charge!

Deep Oceans Exhibition

Some fish names like dragonfish, vampire squid, and sea mouse may sound like fictitious names from a Sci-fi movie but they are actual names of existing fish. Visit the Deep Oceans Exhibition at Scienceworks and come face to face with the sea freaks. They have interactive models of happenings under the sea and some live specimens of the seas creatures. The Exhibition has been going on since October last year and will end on April 12th 2015.
