Holmes Institute is a multi-sector private sector provider of education. The institute consists of a faculty of Vocational Education and Training together with a faculty of Higher Education and a school of Secondary Education.

Holmes prides itself as being well positioned as an alternative route to a higher education. It’s curriculum follows industry and the labour market of Melbourne closely and benchmarks it’s internal systems and structures against that of universities and colleges.

History

Holmes was established in Melbourne in 1963 to provide a commercial college for education. In 1986 a step further was made when Holmes formed one of Victoria’s first ever English Language centres.

Over the subsequent fifteen years Holmes has expanded the national campus network to include Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Cairns as well as introducing Cambridge Teacher Training for English language teachers.

Today Holmes has over forty years built up an enviable reputation as a quality education provider, being 100% Australian owned and maintaining since 1988 an unchanged senior management team.

In 2000 Holmes started relationships with a number of Australian universities and initiated diploma courses and degree courses. Today, Holmes offers a range of vocational awards, bachelors’ degrees in business and accounting and masters’ degrees in business administration and professional accounting.

Over 50,000 students have graduated from Holmes Australia since 1963. The student body currently represents 35 countries, guaranteeing students a truly international experience. Homes has campuses in Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Cairns and Hong Kong.

Students Services

All Holmes campuses offer state of the art technologies and resources to enable students an ideal study environment and make their overall experience rewarding and challenging.

Holmes understands the personal needs of their students especially for those outside Victoria and from overseas. Holmes can arrange for students to be met at the airport and to be transferred to their chosen accommodation by a college representative.

Students are the biggest priority for Holmes and every conceivable service and assistance is given to help them in personal growth and academic progress. Homes also offers a 24hr emergency line and contact service to all students and their families which is available 7 days a week and every week of the year.

Holmes can offer a wide range of student accommodation from private homestay to serviced apartments and hotels.

Holmes Recruitment

Finding their ex students jobs is of high priority for Holmes. In fact on some courses it is compulsory that work experience is necessary.
On completion of their education students can make use of the facilities offered by Holmes Recruit to seek graduate employment.
